All English Classes

  • All LUT and Unplug activities are credit/no credit.

  • All LUT activities were covered in live sessions in December. If you weren't there, watch the recordings, do what Mr. O'Bryan told you to do, and get 100%. Alternatively, if you want to go ahead and do them, they're yours. Do with them what you will.

   Last But Certainly Not Least...

  • Courses MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER.  If something won't open, don't email me without looking to see what's missing first. It's your responsibility to make sure that you complete all the requirements.

If nothing is missing prior to the activity that won't open, please DO send me an email to let me know about the problem.

If you're ready to write the literary analysis, download this PDF. It tells you all that you need to know about writing this essay. And yes, you can use any piece of literature to write your literary analysis.

A HUGE piece of advice: if you think that a literary analysis is a "book report" or that you need to "tell me the story," think again. In fact, those are the quickest ways to fail the assignment.

Did I plagiarize?

Semester #2

The preferred methods of submitting the audio/video assignments are detailed on the website (Dropbox, YouTube, or Google Drive.) If you are not able to use one of these methods to submit your assignment, please post it on Edmodo. Unless you receive prior approval, I will not accept assignments via email; they will be deleted, and you will receive a 0 on the course site.

For second semester, there are no exemptions for activities for any reason.

BIG Hint: You are not writing about The Odyssey.  You need to choose a topic where you can persuade your audience (readers) .
